Burgkmair, H, 1510-12, Portrait of Jacob Fugger,Chiaroscuro woodcut using two blocks (Source: http://www.wga.hu)

This is a woodcut and so the line work is more pronounced than if it were a drawing. There have been two impressions, one with the mid brown and one with the darker ink. The highlights are skillfully left untouched. This duotone work effectively describes the form, the variety of textures and the illumination of the subject.
