Durer, Albrecht, mein Agnes, c. 1494, pen drawing in bistre on white paper, 156 x 98 mm, Graphische Sammlung Albertina, Vienna, (Source: http://www.wga.hu).

The style of European Renaissance artist, Albrecht Dürer, varied according to the medium or technique he was using. For example this pen drawing involves different technique from what we saw in the woodcut featured in Lecture 1. Yet some people familiar with his work might say that there is a personal style that is evident in common elements in the work of the same artist even when using different techniques.
